NEWSBROKER was delighted to be an ACTive partner (2008 and 2009) for ACT Responsible initiative - Advertising Community Together - a non-profit initiative whose aim is to show the positive role of advertising in today’s world social and environmental issues. Since 2001, The ACT Responsible EXPO showcases the best of socially responsible advertising campaigns during the annual CANNES LIONS International Advertising Festival and around the world. The EXPO has been shown worldwide at 17 exhibitions at International Advertising Festivals, congresses and public events in 10 countries, seen by 14, 000 visitors. ACT Responsible focused its Cannes Expo on the environmental, social and economic consequences of Climate Change, and had invited KOFI ANNAN, former Secretary General of the United Nations and President of the Global Humanitarian Forum and BOB GELDORF, Live Aid founder to hold a debate on the human face of climate change.
